Product Information
The Koseq Compact rigid sweeping arms are based on the same principle as the well-known offshore rigid sweeping arm, but shorter and lighter and therefore perfectly suited to be used on smaller vessels.
The compact sweeping arms come in two different sizes: 5 meter sweeping arm and 8 meter sweeping arm, or Compact 5 and Compact 8.
The unit is free floating and trailed alongside by the oil spill recovery vessel to recover the oil.
Moving through the oil spill the oil guided by the rigid sweeping arm and pushed into the pump well. The hydraulic driven submersible pump is directly placed behind the height adjustable weir bar and delivers the oil/water mixture directly to the storage tanks on board the vessel. The pump, the height adjusted weir bar and the debris screen are remotely controlled by only one operator. Optionally a brush skimmer is available.
The pump and all other equipment is powered hydraulicly by a diesel-hydraulic power pack.
